Frequently Asked Questions

Do you allow real flame candles?

Candles are only allowed on the tables. No hanging candles are allowed from the ladder. Battery operated candles are a great option.

Do you allow pets?

Pets are allowed only during the ceremony and pictures, only outside either on the blacktop or grass. Pets are NOT allowed in the buildings or on the lower level patio areas. Pets must be pre-approved by a venue manager.

What are the dimensions of the items I can decorate?

72” round dinner tables that can seat up to 12 guests

How many weddings/events on the same day/night?

There will be only 1 wedding/event. Weddings have the venue exclusively from 8am until midnight that day.

Do you provide table linens, glassware and dishes?

White or black mid length linens are provided for the round dinner tables, as well as white or black linen napkins.
If you would like full length or colored linens, please work with your event coordinator. These are available at an additional fee. We also provide silverware, plates for dinner and salads, and water glasses.

Are fireworks permitted?

Fireworks are not allowed. However, if you would like to use sparklers, it must be pre-approved with a venue manager.

When is our final guest count due?

14 days prior to the event, all of your final numbers and decisions must be sent to your event coordinator.

What information do I need about the venue for my marriage license?

We are located in the Village of Lake Delton, in Sauk County Wisconsin.

What are our clean up responsibilities at the end of the night?

You are responsible for removing items from the buildings that you brought in, including cardboard boxes you used to transport your items. Also, anything that your vendors brought in is your/their responsibility to remove. All these items must be removed the same night no later than midnight. Nothing can be left for the next morning pick up.

How many guests can you accommodate?

We can seat up to 324 guests, including the wedding party, bride, and groom.

Do you provide in-house food or do I need to find my own vendor?

No, you do not have to search for a cater. Our experienced catering team can handle all of your appetizer, main meal, and late night snack needs. You are welcome to use an outside licensed vendor for your desserts.

Are we allowed to bring in our own liquor/beer/wine, etc?

No. Vennebu carries our own liquor license that prohibits any outside alcohol brought to property. You do have the opportunity to order alcohol wants from us for the day.

What is the deposit required to reserve a date?

We require a $2,000 deposit to secure your date. This can be paid either with a check, cashiers check, or a credit card payment with a processing fee.

How do I schedule a tour?

Please fill out our contact form. Once received, one of our venue staff will email you to set up a time and date to tour Vennebu.

How many vehicles does your parking lot hold?

We have 167 parking stalls including handicap stalls

What happens if it rains during our outdoor ceremony?

We do have the inside Barn area as a great backup option if weather is not favorable. It would accommodate 324 also.

What if we want to have our ceremony somewhere else (off property)?

The $350 ceremony fee would not be applied.

When will I have time to decorate?

You are welcome to begin decorating at 8am the day of your event!

Do you have a preferred vendor list?

You are welcome to use any vendor of your choice. However,please also see our preferred vendors.

Where can we take photos on property?

There are so many beautiful photo opportunities on the Myklebust property. However, we ask that you do not cross any of the white picket fenced areas.

Do you allow confetti or streamers inside or outside?

No. If you are wanting flower petals during your ceremony, they must be real petals.

Do you provide cake cutting assistance?

Our catering team is more than happy to help with cake cutting for guests. This service is free of charge if you provide the disposable plates and forks for cake. Please speak with the event coordinator about this service.

Do you offer ceremony rehearsal time?

Yes! This is included in the venue rental. Confirm date and time with your coordinator.

Do we have an opportunity to taste test the food?

Yes, we do offer complimentary tastings, of the main course, for our booked events. Schedule this with your venue coordinator.
